The best way to reach me is through text or email. I rarely answer my phone... like a good millennial. 😊
When I'm with a family (yours or mine), they're my priority. If you leave a voicemail, I'll get back to you as soon as I'm able—but text is almost always the fastest way to reach me.

I believe every family deserves care that is evidence-informed, compassionate, and individualized. Rather than focusing on a single symptom or diagnosis, I look at the whole picture—including the breastfeeding parent, infant feeding mechanics, milk transfer, maternal health, infant development, and your family's goals.
As both a Registered Nurse (RNC-MNN) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I combine years of maternal-newborn experience with current research to provide practical, nonjudgmental support. I also offer Therapeutic Ultrasound, Craniosacral Therapy, and holistic sleep coaching when appropriate.

I'm pretty laid back. I hate wearing shoes, I don't sit still very well, and I tend to think out loud while putting puzzle pieces together.
Expect lots of questions, a thorough feeding assessment, honest conversations, and probably at least one "Hmm... tell me about..."
My goal isn't perfection—it's helping you feel more confident, supported, and equipped when you leave than when you arrived.

Yes! I am in network with Aetna and UnitedHealthcare. I also partner with Wildflower Health to serve many Cignafamilies since Cigna no longer allows lactation consultants to contract directly. (I know... 🙄)
Insurance can be a little confusing because every plan is different, and coverage guidelines seem to change constantly.
One important reminder: "In network" does not always mean "free." Depending on your specific plan, you may have a copay, coinsurance, or deductible. While I do my best to verify benefits, I can't always guarantee your out-of-pocket cost before your visit.
The good news? Many families pay $0 for their lactation visits. When there is a patient responsibility (which I'm contractually required to collect), it is most commonly between $20 and $72.
If you're unsure about your coverage, don't worry—I'll help you navigate it as best I can.

Not at all. While breastfeeding is a major focus of my practice, I also support exclusive pumping, combination feeding, bottle feeding, prenatal education, infant feeding concerns, therapeutic ultrasound, Craniosacral Therapy, holistic sleep coaching, and weaning. My goal is to help families feed and care for their babies with confidence—whatever that looks like for them.

...I'm using formula?
Nope. My job is to help you feed your baby, not judge how you do it....I'm exclusively pumping?
Not at all. Exclusive pumpers deserve medals... and probably a nap....my baby gets bottles?
Nope! Whether your baby breastfeeds, bottle-feeds, or does both, I'm here to help....my house is a disaster?
Absolutely not. I'm coming to see your baby, not your baseboards....I'm still in pajamas?
Honestly, I prefer it....I haven't showered in a few days?
Congratulations—you have a newborn....my toddler is climbing the furniture while we're talking?
I have three kids. I promise I've seen worse....I cry?
Please do if you need to. Babies cry. Parents cry. Sometimes breastfeeding makes everyone cry....I don't know what questions to ask?
That's why I'm here. You don't need to know what to ask—that's my job....I decide breastfeeding isn't right for me?
You still deserve respectful, evidence-informed care. My goal is to support your feeding goals, not mine. The short answer? Probably not. Parenting is hard enough without worrying about being judged by your lactation consultant. Come exactly as you are—mess, tears, bottles, toddlers, dogs, and all.

If you want them there, absolutely! I encourage partners and other support people to join us if they're part of your support system.
If you'd rather they didn't attend, I'm also very good at being the bad guy. Need me to insist on a little one-on-one time? Happy to do it. Sometimes "Mandi said so" is all the excuse you need.
And if your concern is about more than just wanting a little privacy, please let me know. Your comfort and safety are important to me.
