CranioSacral Therapy

Gentle Nervous System Support for Infants and Families

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a light-touch modality that works with the body’s connective tissue and nervous system to support regulation, tension release, and overall balance.

In infancy and postpartum, subtle patterns of tension can influence feeding, comfort, and regulation. CST offers a gentle way to support the body alongside lactation care.

I began advanced training through the Upledger Institute International in 2023 and continue ongoing education in this modality.

For Infants

CST may be considered when babies are experiencing:

• Feeding tension
• Difficulty sustaining latch
• Body asymmetry or head preference
• Persistent fussiness with no clear cause
• Oral tension patterns
• Birth-related tension

Sessions are calm, quiet, and baby-led. Infants can remain clothed and can often held by a parent during treatment.

For Postpartum Parents

CST may support:

• Nervous system regulation
• Jaw, neck, or shoulder tension from feeding
• Pelvic or sacral discomfort
• Recovery after birth

When parents feel regulated, babies often do too.

What to Expect

Sessions are gentle and quiet. I use very light touch to assess and support areas of restriction within the craniosacral system.

Many families describe improved relaxation, greater ease in feeding, or subtle shifts in comfort following sessions.

CST is used as a complementary approach — not a replacement for medical or lactation care.
